In Concressault, Cédric Esturillo takes over the stable and barn of Le Moulin with an installation composed of scattered elements that evoke both the vestiges of a forgotten cult and the beginnings of a ritual in the making. Inspired by the ambivalent figure of the swallow – symbol of cyclical return, fertility and messenger of renewal – he displays works that oscillate between pagan beliefs and enigmatic ruins.

In the stable, a series of stoneware pieces are arranged on the floor. Their hybrid forms, somewhere between nests and offering plates, suggest the remains of a sacred gesture, of which only the material signs remain. A little further away, a painting shows swallows seemingly rising from the ground. Discreet, almost withdrawn, this image evokes a passage, a transformation. It acts as a relic, reinforcing the impression of a deserted sacred place.

In the centre of the barn stands a vertical wooden structure topped by an oversized swallow's nest, whose straw has been replaced by a tangle of electrical wiring. Part pagan altar, part makeshift scaffolding and part futuristic reliquary, this imposing construction seems to float outside of time.

It is unclear whether it is too early for the ceremony to begin, or already too late to grasp its signs. Like an abandoned altar or a temple in waiting, the installation seems to mark an invisible solstice, a suspended transition between two states. Cédric Esturillo immerses us in a space where rural architecture, ritual fiction and esoteric aesthetics converge.
